As one leaves the coffee shop he sees a strange funeral procession. 

A coffin is carried first. It is followed by another coffin—behind which walks a man holding a black dog. 

Behind him 200 men walk in single file. Seeing this, the coffee shop man couldn't contain his curiosity.

He went to the man walking the black dog and said, "I'm sorry to bother you, but I've never seen a funeral like this in my life. Everyone's following you in a single line. Whose funeral is this?"
